Position Statement:

Develops, directs and leads the overalldevelopment of marketing, public relations and related programs to driverevenue

andmeet objectives for Malaysia cluster of hotels. Provides conceptual andstrategic thinking and planning through

marketresearch and data. Interviews and coaches Team Members in developing effectivemarketing and communication

strategies and setting goals that will drive thecluster's commercial performance.


Position Summary:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for overall tracking and deliveringof cluster commercial targets and budget with inter/intra departmentcollaborations such as Sales and Business Development.

* Responsible for development of cluster marketingand communication strategy to meet cluster objectives.

* Maintain frequentbi-lateral communication with Regional Specialists to understand corporateobjectives and ensure that cluster strategies are aligned. Ensure thatinformation and understanding are shared and cascaded within the team.

* Workclosely with regional marketing team on local activation of global brand, APACand SEA programs or promotions.

* Oversees and ensure successful delivery ofthrough-the-line cluster marketing and communication activities/initiatives.

* Activelylead, coach and manage teams: Advertising & Promotions, Marketing Services,Content and Public Relations to achieve country objectives and targets.

* Oversee investment at cluster level to maximizeexposure and synergies, and minimize costs.

* Providescustomer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that maylead to changes in marketing strategy.

* Monitorprogress and submit performance reports to Regional General Manager &Director of Business Development

* Establish,own and drive a strategic internal and external communications strategy thatpositively affects employees' and customers' understanding, engagement andcommitment with the result of an even stronger connection to the company andleads to a return on investment.

* Ensurebrand consistency

* Responsiblefor optimal management and allocation of budgets and resources amongst projects

* Managerelationships with outside vendors as necessary.

* Drivecontinual process improvements and implement best practices to manage projectsefficiently.

* Be the driving force in the development of thework ethic, culture and values , through personal example, establish the style

and approach which meets overall company valuesand expectations.

* Becomethe agent towards external parties such as media, stakeholders and potentialclients and build strategic partnerships.

* Developand maintain effective relationships with key reporters/editors from trade andmedia.

* Managecomplex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required.

SPECIFICATIONS/SKILLs:


• Knowledge of hotel business especially in BusinessDevelopment and Management system is preffered but not mandatory..


• Possess basic to high level of computationalability.


• Possess basic interpersonal and sales relatedskills.


• Confident telephone manner.


• Commerciallysavvy with proven leadership ability in driving performance withmultifunctional work groups, including the ability to influence seniorstakeholders.


• Solidmarketing management experience. Hospitality experience is a plus but notmandatory.


• Abilityto plan, organize and effectively present ideas to stakeholders to get buy-in.


• Intellectuallycurious with strong learning agility and ability to evolve with changingmarketing landscape e.g. traditional marketing to digital marketing


• Abilityto effectively handle multiple, concurrent projects under pressure, includingappropriate prioritization of projects


• Entrepreneurialcreative thinker with ability to drive innovation


• Experiencein managing budgets with P&L responsibility

EXPERIENCEAND QUALIFICATIONS


• Minimum of 3-5 of multi site role as aCommercial Leader
