System Engineer, Sun Solaris
Work Location : Shah Alam
Responsibilities:
Install, Configure, Admin, Hardware Level Diagnosis and Troubleshoot and Part-Replacement for Faulty Sun Servers
Provide preventive and corrective maintenance .
Participate in pre sales activity and system planning
Assist Customers with Audit Compliance
Prepare and maintain maintenance report and health check on monthly, quarterly basis.
Solaris backup & Restore
Prepare and maintain documentation of all server configuration and maintenance procedure
Liaise with application software provider.
Manage system resources such as CPU, memory, disk usage, tape backup systems, performs and assists troubleshooting and diagnosing production problems as well as test environment; maintain and adhere to security policies and procedures in managing the systems
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Knowledge and experience in SUN solaris operating system and hardware configuration.
Knowledge in Veritas Volume manager and NetBackup .
Install, Config, Admin, Hardware Level Diagnosis and Troubleshoot Experience with Volume Manager, Netbackup, Solaris 8 and Above
Proven Experience to do hardware Level diagnosis and troubleshoot
Sun Certified Partner Field Engineer Certification will be an advantage.
Sun Certified System Administrator Certification will be an advantage.
